Hi, I'm Katie. As a certified Sleep Consultant, and a Registered Social Worker, I have been supporting families to achieve goals and to parent intentionally for over a decade. With specialized training in attachment theory and trauma-informed care, I value a client-centered, holistic approach to Sleep Consulting.
I am also a Mom and I know first hand what it is like to be severely sleep-deprived. My daughter woke up constantly and struggled to settle for the first three years of her life. I was exhausted. I have since learned that there is so much that can be done to support and optimize child sleep.
If your child's sleep is suffering and you are exhausted, please know there is a different way possible.
My job is to help you work with your toddler to diffuse power struggles and create kind and consistent boundaries around sleep.
Small children thrive on independence and achievement and we will use this to motivate your toddler to go to bed easily and to sleep through the night. When working with me you can trust that my background in attachment theory will be the lens through which all sleep direction is given.
We are all happier, healthier, and more present when we are getting sufficient sleep. Child growth and development are dependent on sufficient high-quality sleep.
The biggest concern that parents have is how much crying will be involved in their child's transition to sleeping well. The method I use is not "cry it out" and it does not involve leaving your child to cry alone. There may be some tears but I promise the tears will be minimal and that you will feel prepared and comfortable to navigate any resistance that your child may exhibit.
When working with me you can trust that I will help you gain the results you need, quickly and effectively.
