Limited Manufacturer Warranty for CPAP Products

Warranty on CPAP Machines

All the CPAP machines we sell come with a 1 to 3-Year Limited Manufacturer Warranty. This Limited Manufacture Warranty is available to the initial consumer only. It is not transferable. Limited Manufacture Warranty protects your main unit from defects or damage because of materials or workmanship. This warranty does not protect replacement parts and your main unit against daily wear and tear, water damage, negligence, accident, or improper use. Misuse, abuse, or water damage will nullify the warranty period.

If your machine malfunctions while under warranty, please contact us by email at shop@hellosleep.ca and provide us with the following:

  • Brief description of the issue
  • Photos and/or videos to better help us diagnose the issue 
  • The product's SN/REF/LOT numbers

A specialist will complete a troubleshooting checklist with you. If the problem persists, we can apply for the Manufacturer's Warranty. This warranty is approved at the discretion of the manufacturer and HelloSleep.ca cannot be held responsible for the manufacturer denying a warranty claim. You will be responsible for shipping the unit to us at your own cost and HelloSleep.ca will work with the manufacturer for repairs and return the unit back at our cost. This process typically takes 4-8 weeks.

Fisher & Paykel Limited Manufacturer Warranty

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare warrants that their CPAP units (excluding consumable items forming part of the CPAP delivery system) when used in accordance with instructions, shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials and will perform following F&P Healthcare’s product specifications. This is for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase by the end user only. If an extended warranty was bought, for that extended warranty period from the date of purchase by the end user. CPAP Masks have a warranty period of 90 days from the date of purchase by the end user.

Philips Respironics Limited Manufacturer Warranty

Philips Respironics announced a Medical Device Recall in June 2021. Under normal circumstances, the above-mentioned process takes place. However, with Philips' Recall, this is not the case. All warranties related to affected DreamStation, System One and DreamStation Go units must go through their manufacture replacement process. We ask you to read the above link, ensure you register your unit and await further instructions for replacement.

Ozone and UV light cleaning products are not currently approved cleaning methods for Philips Respironics devices or masks and do not remediate the current recall. Please follow the cleaning instructions within the owner's manual for your Philips CPAP devices and products.

Resmed Limited Manufacturer Warranty

Updated February 1, 2020. Resmed's warranty period for CPAP Machines in Canada (AirSense 11, AirSense 10 and AirMini) is 3 years excluding the external power supply units. The AirTouch UltraSoft memory foam cushions have a warranty of 7 days. Mask Systems, Tubes, Standard Humidifier Water Tubs and Accessories have a 90-day warranty. Cleanable Humidifier Water Tubs have a warranty period of 1 year.

Resmed's Limited Manufacture Warranty may affect whether you choose to use an ozone cleaning device (including but not limited to Soclean 2 and mini portable cleaners) with your Resmed machine. With the increased use of ozone devices, Resmed observed that prolonged and repeated use of ozone may eventually cause internal damage to Resmed machines, leading to an increase in motor noise. Resmed is enforcing cleaning instructions in its user manual.

For consumers who are covered by consumer protection laws or regulations in their province of purchase or, if different, their province of residence, we will respect the requirements of those consumer protection laws or regulations.   

The iBreeze CPAP System (model 20A) (“Product”) is a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure therapy device designed for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. THE PRODUCT IS SOLD “AS IS, WHERE IS”. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, REGARDING THE PRODUCT OR ITS QUALITY OR PERFORMANCE. WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT WILL OUR MAXIMUM LIABILITY EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OR WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY ECONOMIC LOSS, LOSS OF PROFITS, OVERHEAD, OR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

If a defect arises in the Product, the consumer must return the Product to the manufacturer. We make no representation as to the existence and/or sufficiency of any warranty the manufacturer may offer.
